It is unfortunate that a vast quantity of sarongs have no maker's stamp. Whether it is due to vendor request, design limitations, indifference, or simply forgetfullness, labelling sarongs with the batiker's name is not a high priority.
The stamp lists the location of the batiker as well as the name. It is always set in the kepala of the sarong... probably because that area is relatively less busy.
